Admissions and Entry Requirements
The University of Cape Coast’s general admission requirements apply to every programme in the Department. The requirements below are the ones specific to us.
Undergraduate entry
Applicants must satisfy the University’s general admission requirements for undergraduate study, including the required passes at WASSCE or SSCE, and any additional requirements prescribed by the Department.
Postgraduate entry
A candidate seeking admission to an MPhil programme in the Department must:

Hold a good first degree or equivalent in the social sciences, statistics, mathematics, engineering, environmental sciences, applied physical sciences or a related discipline, from an accredited university or analogous institution.

Submit an official transcript of the academic record.

Submit two reference reports, one of which must be from a former lecturer.

Submit a two- to three-page proposal on the intended area of study, including references.

Pass a selection interview.

Satisfy any additional requirements prescribed by the Department.
